Stop losing clothes. Start counting them.
LaundryBay runs the laundry and the car wash side of your yard from one system. Every garment gets its own tag and is scanned at every handover, so when a customer says a shirt is missing, you can show them exactly where it was last seen — and who was holding it.
No card needed. Your branches, prices and staff are set up in about ten minutes, and you can take a real order the same day.
Nobody argues about the wash. They argue about the count.
A customer drops a bag. Someone writes “12 pieces” in a book. The bag goes to the plant, gets mixed with four other bags, comes back, and the customer says there were thirteen.
There is no way to settle it, so you either lose the money or lose the customer. That single failure — no record of what went in — is what this product was built to remove.
The customer itemises at home
Photograph the pile; the app drafts a list of garments and the customer corrects it.
Your attendant tags and scans
Each garment gets a physical tag. The scan is checked against what the customer declared.
Disagreements are settled before washing
If the counts differ, the customer is shown the difference on their phone and confirms or rejects it.
Every later handover is another scan
Plant intake, quality check, courier, delivery. Each one is written into a chain that cannot be edited after the fact.
The camera describes. The tag identifies.
Plenty of software promises that a photograph can recognise your customer’s specific blue shirt at collection. It cannot, and pretending otherwise is how you end up handing the wrong garment to the wrong person with great confidence.
What the camera is for
Drafting the item list quickly so nobody types fourteen rows by hand, and capturing the condition of a garment on the way in — the stain that was already there, the seam that was already going.
What the tag is for
Identity. A garment is that garment because it carries that tag, and nothing is handed over without a scan. Tags are QR today and the same code works if you move to RFID later.
They book from the phone, and they know where their clothes are
A customer app that itemises the bag before it leaves the house, finds your nearest branch, and keeps them informed instead of making them call.
Photograph the pile, get an itemised list
The camera drafts the list — type, colour, fabric, size — and the customer corrects it. Every garment becomes its own row in the batch, so a pickup can be verified item by item rather than "one bag, roughly twelve things".
Nearest branch, pickup or drop-off
Branches are ranked by real distance from where the customer is standing, with opening hours and whether that branch collects. They pick collection at home or drop-off at the counter.
Status they can actually follow
Placed, collected, at the plant, washing, quality-checked, out for delivery, handed over. Each change pushes a notification, so nobody rings the branch to ask.
Back to the branch or back to them
The customer chooses where finished clothes go, and can change their mind up to the point the return run is dispatched.
Standard or express
You set how long each takes and what each costs. The app shows both, with a real ready-by time derived from your cut-off, not a guess.
Item-level chain of custody
Lost garments are the single biggest source of disputes in this trade. Every handover is a scan, and every scan is recorded in a chain that cannot be quietly edited afterwards.
Agent kiosk that scans in what the customer declared
Your attendant scans each garment against the customer list. If the two do not agree, the customer gets a prompt on their phone showing exactly what differs — before anything is washed.
Scanned again at the plant
The bag is re-scanned on arrival at the laundry centre. A garment that left the branch and did not arrive is visible the same hour, not at collection.
Who touched which batch, and when
Wash, dry, press and quality check are each claimed by a named person and timestamped. When something comes back wrong you know who to ask.
Ready means the branch is told
Finished batches surface on the branch dashboard and a courier run is raised to bring them back, grouped by destination so one trip serves several orders.
Four apps, one for each job on the floor
The counter, the wash floor, the courier and the back office each get a tool that fits what they actually do, instead of one app that fits nobody.
Courier app with real runs
Stops in order, navigation to each, and proof of handover captured at the door. A courier cannot close a stop that has an unpaid balance unless you allow it.
Point of sale at the counter and the plant
Walk-in orders, cash and mobile money, shift open and close with a counted drawer. Variance is reported, not absorbed.
Owner portal
Prices per item and per branch, turnaround rules, subscription tiers, staff and their roles, and the numbers across every site.
Claims and complaints, worked to a conclusion
A lost or damaged item becomes a case with a thread, linked to the batch and the custody trail. Resolve it as a credit note, a refund or a rewash — and the outcome is recorded against the order.
Subscriptions and pay-as-you-go, both
Card and mobile money through Paystack, a wallet for credit notes, and recurring plans that renew against a saved authorisation.
Silver, Gold and Platinum
Set an allowance, an overage rate, a discount, free pickups and queue priority for each tier. Or sell nothing but pay-as-you-go; both run side by side.
The same for car wash
Wash plans with a monthly allowance and priority bays, or a single wash paid on the day.
A full car wash product, not an afterthought
Most washing bays adding laundry already run the wash. It is managed here properly, with capacity that reflects the bays you actually have.
Vehicles, services and prices by size
Customers save their vehicles. A wash is priced by the size of the car, from a motorcycle to a truck, per service.
Reservations your front office confirms
A slot request is checked against real bays and real staff, then confirmed or declined with a reason. A bay that cannot fit an SUV will not be offered one.
Home service
The wash comes to the customer, with a travel fee you set, booked through the same flow.
Install them, or just open a link
Every app ships as an Android build and as an installable web app. A new attendant can be working from a browser in thirty seconds, with no store account and no download over a metered connection.
